I am back with my product review. It’s on Colorbar Lighten Up Lip Mender 

 

About the Product

Colorbar Lighten Up Lip Mender is a light yet pampering lip conditioner that smoothes and lightens dry, dark and chapped lips. Powered with the ‘DAB’ formula, it actively fights against pigmentation.

I wanted this product since a long time because of the claims and finally bought it. I loved the packaging. Lip mender comes in a small tube with an eye-catching metallic applicator for dispensing the product.  The applicator has a flat surface and can be used directly to apply the product on the lips.

Ingredients

It is free of parabens and artificial colors, mineral oil, artificial fragrance, artificial colours and sulfates.

Packaging

It comes in a small white tube with a metallic applicator and a cap.

Price

Rs. 850 for 12 ml

 

Usage

The lip mender comes with an applicator. Pump a small amount of product from the tube and apply it on the lips. Pat gently till absorbed. It can be used as a base under your lip colour or lip gloss.

My Take on this Cream

The product is a water based cream. On applying, it disappears quickly leaving a light shine on the lips. After few minutes, there is a feeling of dryness and a tingling sensation. There is an overall feeling of extreme dryness or as if lips are cracked which is not comfortable.  My lips crave for moisture. I apply lip balm. Every time I applied the product, the result was the same and I always had to apply a lip balm to make my lips feel nourished.

This was completely different from what I had expected. The product is too expensive and nothing being near to lip mender.

Whenever I applied this product, it gave a dry feeling and appearance. It did nothing for pigmentation also. Due to the dry feeling, I felt like licking my lips. The product has a salty taste which is also a con. This product didn’t meet my expectations.

My Verdict:

I would not purchase this product again. It’s overpriced and not working. It also does not condition my lips as claimed.
