Hola Peeps!

Flaunting grey hair is not everyone’s cup of tea. Grey hair may be a sign of wisdom and maturity but premature greying implies that something is amiss. It is better to evaluate the reason behind premature greying before starting any treatment. At the first signs of greying, we tend to go for cover up. Hair dyes are the easiest way to cover  up the greys but they are actually chemicals and lead to hair fall, more greying and sometimes even cause allergic reactions thus affecting health.

Review: Phytosil 20% Vitamin C Serum

Hola Everyone,

The latest in skin care is Vitamin C serum. It is a key anti-ageing skin care regimen and has been hailed as the anti-ageing vitamin as it boosts collagen production.  It not only keeps wrinkles and fine lines away but also protects the skin from UVA and UVB damage. It improves the appearance of sun damaged skin by reducing the hyperpigmentation. It reduces the inflammation and brightens the skin. Vitamin C serum can be made at home but it is highly unstable as it gets oxidised on coming in contact with air. Today my review is of Phytosil 20% vitamin C Serum. Ferulic acid present in the serum provides stability to vitamin c and hence potency is maintained.

I loved the packaging and it is travel friendly. The packaging is attractive with clear details. Inside the package, there is a dark coloured bottle with serum. The dark coloured bottle prevents the serum from getting oxidised. The bottle has a dropper which is quite handy and it prevents contamination also.

My Experience

The serum is milky white liquid which gets easily absorbed into the skin. It is neither greasy nor too dry thus ideal for all skin types. There is a noticeable difference from the first application. My skin felt smooth and there was a glow. The pores are reduced. I  noticed some firmness and even skin tone.

Here are the benefits of major ingredients of the serum:

Vitamin C diminishes and prevents wrinkles and visible signs of aging, corrects pigmentation irregularities and prevents the appearance of dark spots, while brightening the complexion. It increases collagen and stimulates the production of essential proteins and fibers. Simply applying vitamin C daily for three consecutive days can transform the skin and provide antioxidant protection. When Vitamin C is applied to the skin it absorbs quickly and immediately starts to work.

Rosehip Seed Oil  is rich in trans-retinoic acid (a natural form of vitamin A) that helps to reduce the depth of wrinkles, fade fine lines, and lighten age spots.

Green Tea helps to shrink blood vessels underneath the skin and eliminate darkness around the eye area.

Hyaluronic Acid plumps, firms and helps to restore the skin’s youthful contours and lubricates parched skin.

Argan oil deeply moisturizes and erases signs of premature aging. It reduces wrinkles, fades age spots, restores skin’s youthful elasticity and regenerates skin cells.

Ferulic Acid strengthens skin cells, promotes cellular growth and increases the efficacy and extends the shelf life of Vitamin C.

For external use only.

Avoid direct contact with the eyes.

Keep away from excessive heat and light.

My Take

I love this serum. This is definitely a part of my regular skin care regimen. The goodness of all the ingredients is definitely worth a try. A noticeable healthy glow is worth the penny.

Would I suggest you?

Yes, definitely.

How To Darken And Delay Greying Naturally

In your 40s but no sign of grey hair! Is this a miracle or is this possible? Yes! indeed this is possible. You can darken and delay greying naturally, without harming your hairs.

With pollution levels an all time high, toxins in and around us in form of chemical laden fruits and vegetables, having the right diet seems next to impossible for most of us. Due to absence of proper diet, stress and other factors, premature greying is quite common. Hair dye is the only way to cover greys but it harms the hairs in the long run. The other option is with henna but it is messy and not everybody likes the colour it imparts to the hair.
